Maddie at 6 months old

Hi, I'm Delia Hackleton and I live in Coventry with my four children, four dogs and my grandchildren Charlie and Emily -where my Kennel name Charmiley came from.

I first met my good friend Helen Browne (Engelben) many years ago along with her lovely leonberger Dudley - RIP - He was such a wonderful boy, so big and gentle that you couldn't help falling in love with him, and the breed in general.

I got my first leonberger- Maddie - in May 2004 followed closely by my second -Molly- (thanks Helen) in December 2004. My third leo - Mikki - came to us in December 2006. And after Mollys first litter in 2008 I now have my fourth Leo, Missy. Yes I sometimes think I am mad but I just couldn't imagine life without them, it really is a case of 'one is never enough'! so be warned if you are thinking about owning 'one'.

I also thought I would never be into showing but again I was wrong. Where else can you meet lots of like-minded people with a passion for our breed and get covered in slobber and hair?
